During the monsoon season, which begins around October and ends around February, Central Vietnam is susceptible to extreme flooding. The most vulnerable families are oftentimes very poor and live in rural, undeveloped areas. Using grant money from AmeriCares, Giao Diem Humantarian Foundation (GDHF) collaborated with local leaders in Vietnam, in the provinces of Hue and Quang Tri, to distribute flood relief supplies to families most affected.
